Privileges of All Member classes of the FPEA shall be entitled to the following privileges:
(a) Eligibility to stand for election or appointment to the Board of Directors, and designated offices within the FPEA, thereby contributing to the leadership and strategic direction of the Association. This privilege is extended to all members except Student Members.
(b) The right to attend Board of Directors (BOD) Meetings, vote on resolutions (subject to any restrictions outlined in these By-Laws), and receive an official Diploma of Membership along with an annual Membership Card. These rights are withheld only in resignation, suspension, or expulsion cases.
(c) Full access to FPEA’s training programs, workshops, and certification courses, designed to advance members’ skills in planning, scheduling, and associated disciplines, strengthening their professional standing and career opportunities.
(d) Preferential access to discounted rates for FPEA-hosted seminars, training sessions, certification programs, and industry events, allowing members to pursue continuous professional growth at reduced costs.
(e) Entitlement to receive The FPEA News monthly magazine, alongside the annual Timeline Magazine, ensuring members remain up-to-date with the latest industry developments, news, and FPEA initiatives.
(f) Complimentary access to a library of recorded seminars and training sessions, allowing members to engage in professional development at their own pace.
(g) Access to the FPEA’s archive of specialized resources, including planning tools, templates, and historical industry data, supports members’ professional projects, research, and day-to-day work requirements.
(h) Exclusive networking opportunities at FPEA-organized events, where members can connect with industry leaders, peers, and mentors, fostering a platform for potential collaborations, mentorships, and career advancement.
(i) Eligibility to participate in FPEA mentorship programs, giving members access to seasoned professionals who offer guidance, support, and insights tailored to assist with career progression and skills enhancement.
(j) Priority access to FPEA-sponsored certifications, examinations, and advanced training programs, with members enjoying both preferential rates and early registration opportunities, which enhances their qualifications and expertise within the industry.

2.4.2 Honorary Member Privileges
Honorary Members may attend General Meetings but shall not vote or contribute financially to the Association.
Associate Membership recognizes professional competence in planning engineering, project management, commercial management, and related fields. Associate Members (AMFPEA) must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have at least one (1) year of relevant experience or individuals with practical industry experience.

Professional Membership validates the qualifications and expertise of Project Planning & Cost Control engineers, project management, and commercial management professionals. Professional Members (PMFPEA) must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have at least five (5) years of professional experience. Relevant fields may include but are not limited to:
Lifetime Membership is conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the professions of planning engineering, project management, commercial management, or other related fields. Eligibility for this honor requires prior attainment of Professional Membership (PMFPEA) and a minimum of five (5) consecutive years of active Membership in good standing within the FPEA, subject to the approval of the BOD. Admission to a FPEA Lifetime Member (LMFPEA) Class requires adherence to eligibility criteria based on FPEA requirements and the Competency Guide established by the FPEA (IRG2), as periodically published by the Association. These criteria shall be subject to review and amendment from time to time to ensure alignment with the evolving standards and objectives of the Association.
The Chartered Membership designation upholds an internationally esteemed standard for planning engineers, project management engineers, commercial management engineers, and related professionals, affirming their qualifications and professional expertise. Eligible FPEA Chartered Members (CMFPEA) must possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field, a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience, and active certification or affiliation with a recognized international body, such as:
Student Membership supports aspiring planning engineers with essential resources. An FPEA Student Member (SMFPEA) must be enrolled in an accredited program in planning engineering, project management, commercial management, or a related field and be in at least the 9th grade or third year of a Bachelor’s degree program.
The Fellow Member designation is the FPEA’s most prestigious honor, awarded to distinguished professionals who have significantly contributed to the industry and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to mentoring others. Fellow Membership (FMFPEA) is granted in recognition of excellence in fields such as project management, commercial management, research, teaching, or training. Eligibility for Fellow Membership requires a Master’s, Doctoral degree, or equivalent professional experience (20 years) and election to Fellow status and final approval by the Board of Directors after a comprehensive assessment of the candidate’s contributions.
Honorary Membership is reserved for individuals of notable professional distinction or those who have rendered exceptional service to the FPEA or the planning engineering, commercial management, or project management fields. Honorary Members are exempt from annual dues and may enjoy specific privileges without the obligations of regular Membership. The BOD may grant this status to individuals who, by their position, experience, or prominence, can support and advance the objectives of the FPEA. To be eligible for Honorary Membership, candidates must:
(a) Not actively practice as a Planning Engineer, Project, and Commercial Engineer and
(b) Be deemed by the BOD to possess the standing, experience, or eminence to promote the FPEA’s mission effectively.
This category of Membership recognizes organizations and institutions that actively support and uphold the aims and objectives of the Filipino Planning Engineers Association (FPEA). Such Membership signifies a formal alignment with the Association’s mission and dedication to advancing professional standards in planning engineering, project management, commercial management, and related fields. Eligibility and Registration Requirements. The following Rules shall govern the registration of firms with the FPEA:
(a) Criteria for a firm’s eligibility to register as an Institutional Member of the Association;
(b) Prescribed procedures for the registration process; and
(c) Ongoing obligations and standards to be maintained by registered firms.
